Set of Mount Amiata in the south of Tuscany, Castello Di Potentino is a working organic farm that produces award-winning wines and olive oil. Its grounds include a private chapel and beautiful garden. Others with frescoes on the ceiling. Each one has antique furniture and plenty of old world charm. A sweet breakfast of bread, jams, fruit and yogurt is served in the breakfast room each morning. The staff can cook wine tastings and other tours around the castle. Castello Di Potentino is a 5 minute drive from the small town of Seggiano. Parking is free and the Abbey of Sant'Antimo is a 20 minute drive away. The bus stop is half a mile away for buses to Grosseto, one hour away. Castle of Potentino, an 11th century castle at the base of Mount Amiata, the last undiscovered pocket of Tuscany. to something simpler and more pure. The castle is nestled in an organic vineyard that is abscessed. A deep gorge on one side, moat-like and hiding on a waterfall among the trees. The castle is truly off the beaten track even though it is in Tuscany. It is very close to Seggiano, Italy and Monte Amiata.
