Area Info
Located in Italy's last undiscovered, unspoiled area - literally stunning - Coast of Maratea & The Cilento National Park. Traveler Magazine says "Maratea is Heaven - It's The Amalfi Without The Crowds.... Italy's Best Kept Secret".
It is just to the south of the Amalfi coast; however, much easier, cheaper, and faster to get to - excellent high-speed road (A3) and rail service from Naples (many airlines) and Lamezia Terme (Ryan Air & Alitalia).
The Hotel Pisacane, a four star rated hotel, is a new hotel which sits on Sapri's Lungomare (as shown across) a short distance for mainline rail station (Eurostar and Inter City services) and also about 500 yards from the beginning of pristine and astonishing Coast of Maratea.
A beach boat can take you to one of italy's most popular and romantic legal wedding spots - Lovers Walk (note; In 2015, the seaside walkway was officially named "Lovers Walk" with it's own street name sign) - or to Sapri Wedding Beach.
The hotel is ideal for those couples that want an in-town location, yet want to be on the sea and beach and have wonderful sea and coastal views. It is about a five minute walk the station, making it exceptionally convenient.
Sapri is a seaside town located on the border between Campania and Basilicata and set against a backdrop of green hills and majestic mountains overlooking the beautiful Gulf of Policastro. It has been a popular holiday resort since roman times, when Cicero called it "a small gem of the southern sea". It is just as popular today with its long, wide promenade packed with bustling bars and restaurants leading to a wide, sandy/pebbly beach and the clear water of the Gulf. The town itself is full of charm and character with narrow streets leading to an open and attractive town square.
